Garrett Kelly
Batting
We got some very bad news last year, before the season began, when Garrett broke his foot and was lost for the season. It was worse news for Garrett with the ribbing he got from the Cubs boys when they realized it was rough playground girls that broke Garrett's foot. Garrett was probably our most improved player in 2006. He batted .353 in 2006 and we hope he will be able to pick up where he left off. It is very hard to pick-up baseball again after a year off. He will have to work twice as hard to regain his form. In 2007, we were considering Garrett for a utility infield position and our left field position. In 2008, we will have to gauge where his progress is and evaluate where he will be best utilized.
