Henson played for the Cubs two years ago and was lost to the other Westside team last year.  We are very happy to have him back this year.  Henson can play any position on the field and he is very good at every position on the field.  This year, you will see Henson at second base when Jackson is pitching; at third base when Drew is pitching; catching when Logan is pitching, and pitching.

In our first game this year, Henson turned in several good plays at second base.  He laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt, and put the ball in play (hit the ball) every time he went to the plate.

As a pitcher, Henson is an unknown quantity, since he did not pitch for us last year.  At times he has looked unhittable.  He throws hard, and as a left-hander, it is almost impossible for him to throw a "straight" pitch.  Every pitch he throws seems to curve naturally. I suspect as the year progresses he will get more and more work as a pitcher.  We will pick and choose where to use him to get him some game situations.  Once he gets a few innings in, we should be able to go to a lefty/righty rotation in every game.

As a catcher, he is as good as any catcher we have.  He has a strong arm; uses his body to block the ball, and he and Logan have devised a "signal" system for inside/outside pitches.
