Westside Cubs Vs. Tunnel Hill Titans
Our second regular game vs. The Tunnel Hill Titans was our first Home game at Westside. While we didn't play our best game, but we won this close game 8-7 We did not score in the first inning, even though Blake Ownbey got a hit, but was caught stealing. We scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning with Garrett Kelly, Ethan Neal, Drew Guffey, and Jackson Bell, each scoring a run. Garrett Kelly and Jackson Bell each singled in the inning. The Titans tied the score in the top of the third, but The Cubs came back in the bottom of the third and scored 4 more runs. Clay Phillips, Ethan Neal, Drew Guffey and Jackson Bell each scored. Logan Hilton pitched 3 2/3 innings, striking out 7, and got the win . Jackson Bell came in in relief and got the save, striking out 4. Jackson got a bases loaded strikeout to end the game and to prevent the tying run from scoring.
